I mentioned this in the last post, but I've had MirrorVerse on the mind lately. Over the last year or so, I haven't been writing much in the vein of
Transformers at all. The focus has been on something original. And aside from using one long, unfinished fic as a tool to pull myself out of an occasional
(strangely, very occasional) bout of writer's block, I haven't written much in the way of MV lately. But probably because one fic is finally nearly
finished and has gone in a direction I didn't anticipate, I've been thinking on the MV universe as a whole a bit more in the last week or so.
So I guess this post is a way to put out there the fics that I've started or will start this year, and really hope to see finished sometime in the next year or so. And I guess I'm also hoping to see what ideas the rest of you have. What fics you've started, or stuck on, or want to write. Where you want to take your characters, or my characters, or someone else's characters. I want to see into the future of MV, because everything else has been pretty cool so far and we aren't regressing as writers up in here.
Besides, we all know that MV is awesome. Reading MV is like looking into the future of Transformers. You know because of Shattered Glass and possible Pretenders in the upcoming movie (females even... I almost feel robbed).
Anyway, here's my future:
"The Reason" - not a song fic! I've done one song fic and that was more for the awesome title than anything else. But it's short and sweet and I'll be working on it this week. It might even be done this week.
"From Within" & "Glory to the Empire" - "From Within" will also be done soon. At 40 pages, it's twice as long as expected as it completely at fault for my new desire to write more MV. "Glory to the Empire" is a generic name for a MV story. It's just a short little thing that will act as bridge between this fic and future stories.
"Every Secret" - in reading what little I've done of this Windcharger fic, I've come to realize that I'm a better writer now, so it'll be rewritten. I know where it's going though, so hopefully it'll be a quick write.
"The Killer in Me" - more Liberty! Unfortunately for her, her recent past catches up with her (this is previewed already in the fics thread)
"The Sleeping Giant" - not a gestalt fic. This is literally and figuratively the fault of Cerebros. You'll know why after reading "Glory to the Empire."
So how about the rest of you? C'mon, spill it! Let's hear about those fics you're dying to write/finish/bribe-someone-else-to-finish.
